Maitreyabandhu was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1990, since when he has lived and worked at the London Buddhist Centre teaching Buddhism and meditation. WebHe has been a member of Bath Writers and Artists since 2016 and led a workshop day of poetry and drama based around Report from the Judenplatz in 2024. He is a co-chair and MC of Fire River Poets Taunton. He won first prize in the Teignmouth Open Poetry Competition in 2024, and third prize in the Torbay Open Competition 2024.
